Lake Faak is just 15 minutes away by car, and the larger Lake Ossiach around 20 – both cradled in the iconic Carinthian lake landscape that tends to stay with you long after you've left. And for those drawn to the wider region: the tri-border area of Austria–Italy–Slovenia is only 15 minutes away – a favourite among road cyclists and anyone with a taste for exploring a little further afield.

Water sports in and around Villach
Since Villach is surrounded by idyllic lakes, it certainly won’t be difficult for you to choose the perfect place for your next water adventure: Lake Ossiach is not far from the city and offers numerous possibilities for swimming, windsurfing, stand-up paddling, cycling, and hiking. If you don’t want to drive far, you can improve your swimming skills in the 25-metre-long sports pool at the KärntenTherme thermal spa.
Stay fit with our sports camps
Since fitness also contributes to a healthy and balanced body image, we have devised several programmes for our sports camps. These include swim camps, ski touring camps, hiking days, road bike tours, and much more. If you prefer to spend your free time on golf courses or tennis courts, you should pay a visit to the Sportpark Warmbad-Villach, which awaits you with ten tennis courts, three sports halls, and so much more.
