Afterwards, a warm meal awaits you in the rustic huts.

Numerous well-marked winter hiking trails around Villach start directly at our hotel. You can stroll through the snow-covered forests while admiring the glistening landscape until you reach the Dobratsch summit or one of the rustic Alpine huts. The same goes for ski touring: There are endless expanses, incredible ascents, dream panoramas, and rapid descents.
Fast and graceful on skates and sledges
We’re talking about ice skating and tobogganing, of course! Around the Karawankenhof, there are several places to hone your pirouette skills, such as at the bathing lakes that freeze over every winter (e.g. Lake Weissensee or Lake Aichwaldsee) or in the Stadthalle Villach sports arena. On the Dobratsch mountain, you can combine a winter hike with a zippy downhill ride. Pure tobogganing bliss awaits you on the tobogganing hill in the Dobratsch Nature Park. Afterwards, warm up with a cup of tea or mulled wine.
